Integrate payroll with Health Wallet Manager

The Health Wallet Manager provides administrators the option of payroll integration. Let's discuss why some administrators choose this option and answer some questions you may have about the feature.

Why choose this option?

Payroll integration may provide administrators a benefit of simplicity and a source of truth. For integrated accounts, any update made in the payroll provider would also be reflected in the Health Wallet Manager. It's a low-maintenance option for administrators.

Is it secure?

When you link your payroll, your connection is secure. Transfer of your information is encrypted end-to-end. Sensitive data, including but not limited to SSN, never pass through our infrastructure or to the end application. It is private. Your credentials will never be made accessible to us, and we can never modify data in your payroll system.

When you connect a bank account, we help keep your data safe and private with best-in-class encryption protocols like the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES 256) and Transport Layer Security (TLS).

How do I do this?

You will need to make sure that you have both your payroll system of record and your company bank account linked to your account. It is quick and easy to do both; be sure to have your payroll and banking credentials handy. Detailed instructions for each can be found here in our help desk:

How do I know the correct amount was withdrawn and disbursed?

You can see a record of all disbursements by clicking ‘Contributions’ in the left-hand navigation bar. This will take you to a page with a complete record of all ACH withdrawals from your bank account and all disbursements to your employee HSA accounts

What if I have already provided my bank information?

No problem! In that case, you do not need to link your bank account. However, we still need you to link your payroll for this feature to work. If in the future, you change your bank account, you can update it using the workflow described in the link above.

What if my payroll provider is not supported?

We have support for over 90 payroll providers at this time and are working to improve that number. Please let us know the name of your payroll system and we can prioritize supporting it.
