The Health Wallet card can power every benefit offered through the Health Wallet Manager. That's one card for every benefit!

How to set your default card-issuing settings

Partner Administrator Feature

This feature is only available for partner administrators. It is not available for employer administrators.

  1. Select Settings from the navigation menu.

  2. Select Card Issuing.

  3. Select your preferred card-issuing settings.

  4. Select Review Changes.

  5. After selecting either New Organizations or New & Existing Organizations, select Update Card Settings.

Options

There are five options for card-issuing settings. Issuing will send cards to members of the program; the option to request will allow members to request a physical or virtual card.

  • No Cards. Members can only submit claims for reimbursement.

  • Only Virtual Cards. Issue virtual cards.

  • Virtual Cards and Physical by Request. Issue virtual cards and provide the option to request physical cards.

  • Physical Cards and Virtual by Request. Issue physical cards and provide the option to request virtual cards.

  • Virtual and Physical Cards. Issue virtual and physical cards.

New organizations

Default card settings are applied to all new organizations.

Existing organizations

If selected, updates to existing organizations will be applied to its new members, benefit renewals, and newly created benefits.

Issuing individual cards via member profile

If desired, an admin can issue physical cards to existing members of an organization with updated settings through the member's profile.

Example
An existing org previously had their card-issuing settings to Only Virtual Cards. A

partner admin updated that organization's card-issuing settings to Virtual & Physical (Both issued).

With this update, future new members will be issued virtual and physical cards. Existing members will be issued physical and virtual cards if their benefit is renewed or they are issued a new benefit. (A benefit event has to occur.)

If desired, partner admins can issue physical cards individually for existing members by visiting the member's profile on the Health Wallet Manager.

Unique card settings

You can set unique card settings for an organization under its Organization Settings. You can learn more by reviewing "Customize an organization's card-issuing settings."
