You can add and manage dependents directly in your Health Wallet. Once a dependent is added, you can associate them with your eligible benefits and issue them a card to access funds.
No dependent logins
Dependents don't have their own Health Wallet login and cannot manage their own information. You manage everything for dependents from your account.
View your dependents
To see all dependents currently associated with your account, go to your Profile and select the Dependents tab. You'll see each dependent's name, date of birth, and the benefits they're associated with.
Language note on dependents
A dependent is a qualifying child or relative who relies on you for financial support. For a list of all eligible dependents, see this IRS resource on tax dependents.
Add a dependent
Dependent information
Select your Profile and choose the Dependents tab.
Select Add Dependent.
Enter the dependent's name, date of birth, relationship, and (optionally) social security number.
Select Continue.
Editing dependent information
Some information, like your dependent’s name or date of birth, cannot be edited by you. Contact your plan administrator for help if you need to update this information.
Benefit selection
The benefits you see might be different. This screenshot is only used as an example.
Select the benefits you want to associate with the dependent.
Select Continue.
Benefits available for dependents
Your dependent can only access benefits you're currently enrolled in, and not all benefits are eligible for dependents. If you don't see a benefit listed, check that you're actively enrolled in it.
Dependent review
Choose whether your dependent needs a card.
Select Review.
Double-check if everything looks correct
Select Complete.
About dependent cards
You can only issue a card for a dependent who has already been added under your Dependents tab. You can't add a new dependent from the Cards page. If you previously set up family cards, your existing dependent information will carry over to your new Dependents tab automatically.
Dependent claims
You can submit claims for your dependents for eligible benefits. See "Submit a claim."
